00:18Yeah, and I wouldn't rule out someone from the defensive side of the football.
00:22I know everybody is kind of focusing on offensive candidates.
00:26I get that.
00:27But, guys, I can tell you if I'm talking to clubs,
00:30it's not a great list.
00:32Majority of the names, and this rarely happens, guys,
00:34and we'll talk more about this on Sunday's PFT and then going forward.
00:39But a majority of them this year, the best head coach candidates
00:42are from the defensive side of football.
00:44That simply rarely happens.
00:46You mentioned Marcus Freeman, multiple teams I know for a fact.
00:48We're interested in talking to him.
00:50A very impressive guy.
00:51Maybe he comes to head coach Sunday.
00:53Maybe he decides to leave.
00:55But the bottom line is, guys, when it comes to the Giants,
00:58yes, they want a quarterback developer.
01:00But one thing I do want to add, if you're a defensive guy,
01:04you better have a good quarterback developer.
01:06Someone who's developed quarterbacks before,
01:08you probably won't get a job where there's a young quarterback
01:10that needs to be developed.
01:12So, Cap, to your point about defensive guys,
01:15is then Salah then another name based off of him
01:18and the performance he's done with a patchwork defensive unit in San Francisco
01:22and what he did with the New York Jets?
01:25Is he being mentioned in some of these circles?
01:27Yes.
01:28Yes, Robert Salah, yeah, the former Jets head coach.
01:30Yeah, here's what happened.
01:32And this – I want to explain, kind of, guys, when you evaluate,
01:37this is the way ownership and general managers evaluate.
01:39If we didn't have a quarterback, how in the world are we going to fire the head coach?
01:43Like, I know Jonathan Gannon, his overall record is terrible
01:46as a Cardinals head coach.
01:48But Kyler Murray, obviously he's out.
01:51He had the mid-foot sprain.
01:53Kyler Murray has just been on a downward trend.
01:55I don't know Jonathan Gannon personally, but how in the world could you –
01:59how could you think, like, he should be fired?
02:02Now, I know some people would say, where's the improvement?
02:05I get that.
02:06It's a fair criticism.
02:07But you've got to have a quarterback to have a chance.
02:10Jacoby Brissett, guys, is a terrific backup.
02:12But, yeah, I would say that Robert Salah, Joe, to answer your question,
02:16is certainly, I'm told, on the radar of some clubs.
02:21And Matt Nagy is a guy that I've talked about offensively,
02:25who's a guy that multiple teams would probably look at, including Tennessee.
02:30I told you guys back that here in October.
02:33He's on Tennessee's list.
02:35But it's really defense.
02:37But the offensive guys like Clint Kubiak, I'm told, he will be on lists,
02:41but he's got to interview well.
02:42He's sort of a soft-spoken guy, and you've got to see how it comes.
02:46This is why these in-person interviews are very, very important.
