00:00Hi everyone, I'm Martha Stewart and I thought I would walk you through my morning routine.
00:06This is what I do every day before I leave the house. First, a really hot face cloth.
00:18My face is already very clean because I do that at night. This is the soap I use on my face.
00:23I have been a visitor to Mario Badescu Spa for more than 45 years and I love, I love their products.
00:32I love their facials. And then a really cold face cloth. Oh, this just calms my skin, closes the pores,
00:43the cold, and it makes me feel fresh. And then two of my Elm Biosciences supplements.
00:53My whole theory of skincare is inside, outside. Whatever you put inside reflects what's coming
01:04on the outside. I don't sunburn my inside, so why would I sunburn my outside? Smart, right? Then,
01:13some of my very nice Elm Biosciences serum. This I've been using for quite a while now,
01:21testing all our samples. And this goes all over my face. Oh, very important. Under my eyes, around my nose,
01:34and on my deco plate. And I put it on my hands, so don't waste it. My skin feels taut. It feels cool.
01:44It smells really good. And it's a little bit tingly. I love that feeling. So now, this is my foundation.
01:52It is a foundation skincare pro mineral sunscreen from Elastin. And this is my, what I wear to the gym.
02:00This is the first place I go in the morning is first down to the stable to make sure my horses are all okay.
02:05And then straight to the gym, either Pilates or to Shawn's Fitness. And then two squirts of Elm Biosciences.
02:16And two little squirts of L'Oreal Lumi Glotion. I've been using this ever since they put it on me in a
02:24little social media campaign. It gives you just that glow that is so important. I like to glow. I don't
02:32like matte finishes pretty much on anything. I like my furniture to be shiny. I like my face to be
02:38shiny. Oh, this feels so good. I've never been a heavy, heavy makeup person, unless I'm doing a
02:48campaign or something. And I like lots of cheekies. I call anything that I put on my cheeks cheekies.
02:56I'm using the excess on the tops of my hands. I use my hands all the time and my hands
03:02need a little bit of coverage. And I do need sunblock all the time because I am outdoors.
03:08I am running around and I wipe all that off. And you know what? At home, I have dark cloths,
03:16dark gray or dark brown for removing makeup. And I only use a cloth once and it goes to the laundry.
03:24Towels once and they go to the laundry. Because first of all, I'm a fanatic about cleanliness.
03:29And second of all, it's a luxury. It's one of my little luxuries. Clean towels,
03:35clean sheets, clean pillow slips. I don't like to have things that are used. I like to have fresh.
03:41Oh, and by the way, you're going to ask about this gorgeous, gorgeous night slip that I have on.
03:49I have been going to this little shop in Paris. It's called Sabia Russa. Everything's made in Italy,
03:55but they are in Paris. And they make everything out of pure linen and beautiful old lace applique
04:03here and there. I love these outfits so much. So do you like? I think it's so sexy and so beautiful.
04:09And you can wear this when you go on trips and on yachts. So it's very nice to come down in one of
04:15these for breakfast. This is Charlotte Tilbury. I love Charlotte Tilbury. I had her on my podcast
04:21recently. She is a hoot. And she is gorgeous. And she is amazing. And she was raised in Spain,
04:30actually, in, I think, Ibiza. And I love Ibiza. See, look, it's looking good. I can almost go out of
04:37the house right this minute. And now here's another Mac. A little bit more color right on the apples of my
04:45cheeks. Really important. A little bit here. What I really like about the new trend in makeup is the
04:55lustrousness. This shine that you get from the Lumi Glotion, from the... Oh, here. This is beautiful,
05:02too. I forgot about that. This is a Lancome. And this is called Transforming Highlighter. See how
05:11pretty it is? Just beautiful. And just a little bit up here on my high cheekbones and right on my
05:19arch of my eyebrows. And I also put a little bit here. My daughter gave me the best advice when she
05:26was in, I think, sixth grade. I was a caterer then. And I was always shopping for groceries and running
05:32around in town in my big suburban. And she would say, Mother, please, would you not wear your apron?
05:38And would you please just comb your hair? Well, I take that to heart. And then a little bit of...
05:45These are really eyeshadows, but they're Armani. And they come in many different colors.
05:52I went to Sephora and bought every color. And see, it's kind of metallic-y, shiny.
06:00I love these. And this is a little bit darker shade. But who knew that you could use eyeshadow
06:09on your lips? So, effectively. See, it's really pretty. I actually fell asleep with my rings on.
06:14I usually take all jewelry off. It's a little bit dirty from makeup. I wash these every single day.
06:18This is the diamond that came from Van Cleef. It was my engagement ring. It fell into the setting when I
06:26got divorced. And it fell into this nice, more modern setting. This is my old Helen Fickelwara ring,
06:33which I love. I have it in rose gold and gold gold. And I have them to fit all my fingers because
06:38they're just, they're the thinnest, most beautiful, beautiful shape. And then this was the first ring
06:44I bought on my honeymoon in Florence on the gold bridge. See anything else here? Oh, yes. Don't
06:51forget. A little tiny bit of eyeliner. I try to take good care of myself. I exercise well. I eat well.
07:00I have my green juice in the morning. Don't forget the green juice. See this hair? Green juice. The skin?
07:06I think green juice. No sun. Sun block. Exercise is extremely important. Pilates does the stretching.
07:13It does the strengthening of your core. I do the reformer and I do the bench and I do, I do everything
07:20and pretty heavy stuff. And then I lift weights with Sean and he gives me a really good stretch every
07:25time I go there, which is excellent. And he uses the balance board. That's the most fun. I'm learning
07:30really how to balance. And I think as you get older, balance is so important because there is
07:36one big rule. Do not fall. That's it. Never fall. Okay. So a tiny bit of eyeliner. Just a tiny, tiny bit.
07:51See that helps a lot. Boy, that little tiny bit. And this is a Lancôme eyeliner. I like it.
07:58Le Stilo waterproof. Very nice. And then, oh, these are nice too. Look at these colors. See,
08:05just basic colors. A little bit of that brownish. And just a touch here.
08:13And you remember blue used to be a color. I hate blue eyeshadow. I hate any color of eyeshadows.
08:19They have to be neutral. Okay. So then the newest Elm Biosciences product. This is the night cream.
08:27And this I've been waiting for and waiting for because it is a nice, rich cream. It does contain
08:34a new version of retinoid. A lot of retinoids are irritating to people's skin. This is not. This
08:42is proven to be as smooth and as nourishing as you can imagine. So I'm just putting a little bit
08:51here. Oh, it's cold. I love it. And if you want to use it during the day for a little bit of extra
08:56nourishment, use it with sunblock. That's why I use this fabulous Elastin. Uh-oh. Almost forgot. A little bit
09:05a very lustrous lip gloss. It really helps keep your lips moist and beautiful. Everybody always
09:17asks the silliest questions and it's how to take a selfie. You want to send somebody special a picture
09:23of yourself once you have mastered the art of everyday makeup. Fluff up your hair a little bit.
09:29Always hold up. Always look up because it gives you a nice jawline, nice neckline. And make sure the
09:38light is on your face. It has to be on your face. And hold it up to the light and take a picture. Make,
09:47you know, you can do kissy lips and you can do whatever, pouty lips and sexy eyes and
09:53that's a selfie. So Vogue, you know, I have things to do and places to go. I'm a busy person. Check out.
