Transcript
00:00Todd Howard announced way back in 2021 that Bethesda had plans to develop a new Fallout
00:05game with a simple one-page design document. Well, it's now 2026 and we still have no updates.
00:12It's not the only major upcoming Bethesda game in the pipeline,
00:16with Fallout 5 set to release after Elder Scrolls VI. While we don't have an exact release window
00:22yet, all signs currently point towards a 2030 launch at the very earliest.
00:28In 2024, Todd Howard told Variety that games take a good 5ish years. With that in mind,
00:35and Elder Scrolls aiming to be completed very optimistically in late 2026,
00:402030 seems to be the earliest we would see Fallout 5. Since it's still early days,
00:46we don't know where Fallout 5 will be set either. But in a kinda funny interview, Todd Howard said,
00:51our plan is to predominantly keep it in the US. Now there are rumours the game will be set in
00:57New
00:57Orleans, thanks to an interview New Vegas alumni Chris Avellone did with TKS Mantis. So maybe we'll
01:04be adventuring to the south. For now, we'll just have to sit tight and wait.
01:08I'll see you in the next one.
01:08Bye.
