00:00We have the countdown.
00:02Siete, seis, cinco.
00:04In La Plata.
00:06Tres, dos, uno.
00:10We're underway.
00:12Estudiantes de la Plata versus Corinthians
00:14in his first leg of the quarterfinal,
00:18the Comebol Libertadores in Argentina.
00:22Tobio Burgos is the man to deliver.
00:25Garros all over Goncilio Pires right in front of Ostakic.
00:30There's a free header there, great save by Sosa.
00:32Got to be a goal, and Estudiantes
00:33with just three minutes on the clock have the lead.
00:39Castro, the poacher there, but it all leads...
00:43It comes back to poor defending by Corinthians,
00:48who afforded a free header in the area.
00:53They're demanding there's a look at this on VAR.
01:05Of all players to get the free header, it's their number nine, Guido Carrillo, all alone.
01:14Forces the save from Sosa.
01:21And while Enos Mancuso can't react quickly enough, it is Alexis Castro, the man who gives El Pincha the lead.
01:35Well, we said both sides were missing attacking options.
01:40But what a start it is, a dream start for Estudiantes.
01:45Another free header in that identical position, inverted.
01:54It was Carrillo's header in that position when the corner came from the other side.
02:00And again, Corinthians marking, let them down.
02:09Something both coaches will have identified as an issue.
02:13Lovely pass from Allen.
02:15Finds Garro, who leads the Chargers.
02:19Garro!
02:21Last two, shot over.
02:24We're at the half-hour mark, Estudiantes still leading.
02:27Went to that Alexis Castro goal on four minutes.
02:39He's up, there's a bit of space on the edge of the area.
02:42Piovi can't control it, but still gets the shot away.
02:45Took a wicked deflection on the way through, it was Rodriguez.
03:01One of those ones could have gone anywhere.
03:04Just ricocheted over Saussure.
03:07And it's something to watch for in the second half.
03:10Garro, even though the whistle has gone, goes after Correa,
03:16who's surrounded now by Corinthians.
03:19Estudiantes go into this second half, hoping to defend their lead
03:23and even build on it.
03:25Corinthians, the Brazilians in need.
03:28A change of image in the second half.
03:31They need to up their game, up their level, to get back into this tie.
03:36They struggle to be truly effective in the final third,
03:41and so much so they've yet to get a shot on target.
03:44Caio Cesar surely must change that now, and how he's done it as well.
03:48Equalizing for the Brazilians.
03:53Beautifully executed, beautifully taken.
03:58By the 22-year-old forward, Corinthians are back on level terms.
04:10The wide forward shows real composure.
04:16What a pass from Garro to release him behind Benedetti.
04:21Nothing that Muslera could do in goal.
04:24And all their good work in the first half is undone.
04:27Estudiantes.
04:29They lose their lead, Corinthians are back on level terms.
04:43It's a set-piece for the home side.
04:45Tobio Burgos.
04:46Drift floats it in.
04:49How about that for a first-time shot from Carrillo,
04:51which forces the save by Sosa.
05:03Good technique on the volley, but by hitting it into the ground,
05:06it takes the power out of that shot.
05:09What I think we can truly say is fortunate to be on the pitch.
05:18Carrillo.
05:22Mateus Pidou.
05:24Depay, now he's in space.
05:27And he's got time.
05:28Looks up.
05:31Garro.
05:32Mateus Pidou.
05:35Hits the target.
05:37Ten minutes into the second.
05:39Support.
05:40Pass out of defense by Mateus Pidou.
05:42Space on the edge of the air.
05:43Topio Burgos.
05:48Puts it high over the bar.
06:01Alexis Castro galloping down that left wing.
06:04This is a good and hard challenge, though, Gary.
06:10Good covering challenge by Gabriel Palalista.
06:27Ahead of Ai Carrizo, who applauds the ball in.
06:31One, two, three, three, three.
06:34One, two, three.
06:34One, two, three!
06:40but although he's kept going
06:44somehow it found its way through that melee of players
06:48the shot by Carrillo didn't really get the power on it to truly
06:52continues his run beautifully done by the youngster
06:55that's a great ball in across the face of goal
07:01unable to get his head on target
