00:00The song of people have come
00:03The meaning behind my song, Bloodline, is that the people from the past, my family, the lineages that have come
00:09before, have always been with me.
00:11I felt alone as a kid a lot. Being a top of that experience, you know, a lot of survivor's
00:16guilt lingered with me.
00:17And, you know, years later, then I come to this place of finding that I was never alone.
00:22That everything I've done has been with the most of people that have led me to where I am now.
00:27When I first came to L.A., I had an idea for the song, Bloodline.
00:31We did a first rendition, and we thought that was going to be the one.
00:34Ended up not being that. You know, a follow-up done like a year ago, I guess.
00:37Eli Teplin and Ilse.
00:39We kind of sat in the studio, and I was like, hey, I would love to do the song, Bloodline.
00:42It's been tricky to get it right. And we ended up redoing the whole song, writing it there in the
00:46studio.
00:47Little things I had kept from a couple years prior.
00:49I had a voice memo that I kept that ends up being in the song that we sang at this
00:53wedding.
00:53As a choir, everybody, it all just fit perfectly into what we're creating.
