00:00Can we make an agreement to bring back the afternoon visit?
00:03Our mothers and grandmothers used to just show up at someone's house.
00:06It was expected, and if you didn't have a social call, it wasn't good.
00:11Now, I'm not naive enough to realize that when afternoon visits were in their prime,
00:15most women worked at home and not in an office.
00:17But also unlike today, the social hour was prioritized.
00:21It was just as important as doing laundry, working out, or having your morning cup of coffee.
00:26Even if you can't do a daily social call, who's to say you can't do a quick catch-up over
00:30Zoom during lunch?
00:31Or meet up for a happy hour after work, or even a Saturday morning coffee walk with a friend.
00:37So here's to taking it slower and making time for an afternoon, or lunch, or Saturday, or happy hour visit,
00:43because we all deserve a break.
