00:32on what was one of the best defenses in the country.
00:36Wide receiver room looks strong.
00:38The offensive line is always incredible.
00:41And Marcus Freeman has really done what...
00:45I think this is fair to say, Dave.
00:47I don't know if I'll get pushback on this.
00:49Nobody thought it was possible.
00:51When Brian Kelly left for LSU, the idea was,
00:54because he had reached the mountaintop of what could be achieved at Notre Dame,
00:57and then Marcus Freeman pretty quickly has shown people that that was not true.
01:01Notre Dame have not had expectations this high in some time.
01:06Notre Dame are completely different when you talk about recruiting.
01:09As you know, they're in battles that they used to never be in.
01:12But all that's fine and well.
01:14They have to deliver.
01:15Remember, the expectation on this team is a minimum of 11 wins,
01:19if not an unbeaten regular season,
01:22and maybe ripping off an unbeaten national championship season.
01:25Talk to me about the Fighting Irish.
01:28I like the Fighting Irish,
01:30and I totally agree with what you said about Marcus Freeman.
01:32I'm not sure anybody thought he would get this team to where it is.
01:35And keep in mind, he lost a couple of early games
01:38that made it look like he had no idea what was going on in South Bend,
01:41and that replacing Kelly with Freeman was a mistake.
01:44And he's rebounded from that to the point where NFL teams want him,
01:47and he keeps re-upping at Notre Dame,
01:49and he has to turn down NFL offers after losing to Northern Illinois
01:52at home a couple of years ago.
01:54So he's gotten this Irish team to where you look at that schedule.
01:59You got the Miami game.
02:01You got a couple of other, you know,
02:03is BYU going to stop you?
02:06Is, you know, how good is SMU?
02:09They could absolutely run the table.
02:11You got Miami at home.
02:12They're going to be in the college football playoff.
02:14I think we're past last year's, should they have, should they not have?
02:17I know that kind of burned people the wrong way,
02:20them not getting in last year.
02:21Well, go ahead and beat Miami then if you want in.
02:24They have a team that is set up with a Heisman Trophy winner in car,
02:28a defense that's unbelievable,
02:29and my play on this game is the under,
02:32because I think the defense is that good.
02:34Plus these neutral site games tend to go under the last couple of years
02:38at about 58% on the neutral site games.
02:41I could see Notre Dame putting up a lot of points,
02:44but you have one of the best defenses in the country.

02:47Like you said, the 20 and a half is,
02:50that's a tricky line because you could see them covering that.
02:53But I think Wisconsin, not anywhere near the top of the big 10.
02:57I think Wisconsin sneakily could be one of those eight or nine win teams
03:01that hangs around and maybe knock someone off here or there.
03:04They're not going to knock Notre Dame off at Lambeau.
03:07But I do think that that's a number that I'm staying away from.
03:10If it was 21 and a half, I might jump in.
03:12But at 20 and a half, it's no play,
03:15and I'm leaning towards the under in this one.
03:17Yeah, I think one of the important things to know, guys, right,
03:20is these numbers can move a little bit.
03:24It is possible that by the time we get to Sunday kick,
03:28this is 21 and a half.
03:30Last season, back end of the year,
03:33every Notre Dame number just started to run.
03:35The closer and closer you got to kick.
03:38People just kept, you know, Notre Dame, Notre Dame, Notre Dame,
03:40the whole way.
03:42And it would not surprise me if, you know,
03:46we end up with that here.
03:50I am very interested in this total because
03:54the under makes a lot of sense.
03:57I think when I first saw this game,
03:58I went, oh, what if Notre Dame pitches a shutout?
04:01And yet I do this to myself occasionally,
04:03as you will find, David, the more and more we work together,
04:06where I somehow come out the other end thinking,
04:08all right, let's bet a total.
04:09Let's bet it over.
04:11Colton Joseph interests me.
04:15I mean, the rushing numbers last year at ODU were absolutely brilliant.
04:19And I think the real question for me,
